Statement of Faith of 
The Association of the Free Churches in Thailand

We believe there is one supreme God who has always existed and who created the heavens and the earth.

We believe in one God, eternally co-existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct, yet unified in essence, equality, and eternality.

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of God who is the one and only true God. Jesus was born in the flesh by the power of the Holy Spirit through the virgin Mary. He willingly sacrificed his life on the cross so that His blood could atone for the sins of mankind. After He died, on the third day he rose again and ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of God. He is the mediator between man and God. He will return a second time to judge mankind.

We believe every word in both the Old and New Testament was inspired by God via the Holy Spirit. It is God’s complete Word.

We believe humans were created in the image of God. Man sinned via the persuasion of the devil to disobey God’s command which brought sin to dominate mankind. As a result, every human is under the judgment of sin. 

We believe salvation is a gift from God. Man is not able to help himself. We can only receive salvation from God through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe the church is the community of God. It consists of true believers in Jesus from the local community. Jesus Christ is the head of the church. 

Following the examples of  the apostles, we believe in water baptism in the name of Jesus, who has been given all authority and power. Baptism is a sacred act where we are united with His death, burial, and glorious resurrection. 

We believe that the Holy Spirit inspires men to repent of their sin, be born again and to have a new heart. The Holy Spirt resides within each believer

We believe all will be resurrected at the end of time, and believers will join God to live eternally in a new heaven and earth.
