My name is Yuli. Today I am so happy to finally share my story with all of you. My journey began when I was only 12 years old. At that time, someone gave me a Bible. The moment I opened it and began to read, I believed instantly. It felt like I had found the very thing my heart had been searching for.

But there was a problem: in my village, there were no Christians at all. No church. No teachers. No one who could explain Jesus to me. All I could do was hold my Bible close and read it alone. And that is how I lived… for 40 long years. It was a lifetime of waiting. I believed, but I had no one to ask, no one to learn from. It was a very lonely feeling—to carry such a great faith all by myself.

But this year… everything changed.

This year, my waiting finally ended. A team of Christian brothers and sisters arrived in our village and knocked on my door. I was so excited I almost screamed. I felt just like the woman at the well in John 4 who suddenly met the Messiah. I wanted everyone to know this good news. I immediately went out to share about Jesus with joy and urgency. I wanted the people I love to hear this truth.

I brought the team to meet my mother and my employer. And do you know what happened? Both of them decided to believe in Jesus right away—because of the words I shared.

One of the moments that touched me the most was when I was asked to lead worship. Just imagine: someone who had been alone for 40 years, believing quietly with no one beside her… now standing in front of the church, leading others in songs of praise. It felt as if God Himself was saying to me, “You don’t have to be lonely anymore. Now your voice will bring hope to others.”

It is such an honor to witness a new church being planted in our district—and to know that I am not just a member sitting in the back, but someone God used to help spark its beginning. I am deeply grateful to Jesus, who never forgot a woman waiting in a far‑off village. And I am grateful to the team who traveled here and helped me encounter the fullness of God’s love.
