Before my journey with Jesus began, my life felt profoundly unstable. This was most evident in my studies, where I struggled intensely with mathematics. Despite my best efforts, understanding was always out of reach, and my poor grades became a source of constant stress. Exams filled me with dread, and the results often led to private tears and the deep-seated belief that I simply wasn't good enough, casting a shadow of fear over my future.
I was in a place of emptiness, where trying harder only amplified my sense of failure. It was then that I was invited to a Christian gathering at my school. I went with no expectations but was met with a warmth and acceptance I hadn't known. In this non-judgmental space, I first heard the story of Jesus.
Though I couldn't grasp its full meaning then, I felt a stirring of hope within me. A desire to know this Jesus grew, prompting a simple prayer from a place of exhaustion: "Jesus, please help me with school. I can't do this alone."
That prayer marked a turning point. Gradually, the lessons in class started to make sense. I could follow my teacher’s explanations, and a genuine motivation to study grew within me, feeling natural rather than forced. The result was what felt like a miracle: I placed first in my class on the next exam. The tears I cried were not of pride, but of the profound realization that this victory wasn't my own—it was a gift from Jesus.
This transformation went beyond academics; it reached my heart. The constant anxiety and negative self-talk were replaced with a quiet, steady joy. Jesus taught me that my value isn't measured by my performance or a need for perfection. He loves me unconditionally, for who I am.
Finding a home at church, surrounded by an encouraging community, erased my loneliness. Soon, an opportunity arose I never would have imagined for myself: I was asked to help lead dance for the worship team. Pushing past my self-doubt through prayer, I said yes.
Today, serving God in this way is one of my greatest passions. It is a profound joy to use the gifts He’s given me to glorify Him and lead others in worship. Everything good in my life flows not from my own merit, but from the moment Jesus entered my story. He changed my heart, gave me hope, and has been faithful every step of the way. Jesus is my hope, and my heart is filled with gratitude.
